The Martin County Office of Tourism and Marketing and the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce the Indiantown Rodeo has been selected as a top tourism event for October 2017 by the Southeast Tourism Society (STS). Named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for 2017, the rodeo competed with top events from across the southeastern United States to receive this prestigious designation.
“Bull riding, bucking broncos, steer wrestling and barrel racing are just a few reasons to come on out to the Indiantown Rodeo. Bar-b-cue, kids’ entertainment, rodeo clowns and more make this an exciting, sell-out event every year,” said David Powers, Indiantown Chamber vice president and rodeo chair.
“The Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Festival and Event list is an excellent guide for visitors, residents and travel writers. The events selected represent the best, and often most unique, activities in the Southeast region,” said Bill Hardman, president and CEO of the Southeast Tourism Society.
The history and culture of Indiantown, along with its equestrian and eco-tourism attributes, provide residents and visitors with a one-of-a-kind experience.
“Indiantown is truly unique to our area and it is the diversity of our communities and events that make Martin County so special. The Indiantown Rodeo proudly takes its place as one of the STS Top 20 Events for the month of October. Indiantown gets the value of being marketed along with events taking place in areas such as Chattanooga, TN and Greenville, SC. This is impressive!” said Nerissa Okiye, Tourism and Marketing Manager for Martin County.
The event will take place on October 13-14 and tickets will be on sale starting September 1. Please visit www.indiantownchamber.com for more information.
The complete list of winners is published on two websites: www.escapeToTheSoutheast.com and Travel Media Press Room.
