Amy Lukasik, director of tourism marketing for the Flagler County Tourist Development Office, was appointed to VISIT FLORIDA’s Industry Relations Committee for a term effective July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to have been selected for this specific committee. The Industry Relations Committee is the primary source of feedback from industry partners. It is critical that our organization maintains its presence and engagement at the state level so that we can ensure our destination and those similar to Flagler County, are represented appropriately.”
VISIT FLORIDA was created in 1996, to serve as the pre-eminent model of how the private and public sectors can successfully work together in support of destination marketing.
The Industry Relations Committee serves as the primary source of industry feedback and counsel on strategic matters related to industry communication and engagement, partner development and participation, and customer relationship management. VISIT FLORIDA’s Board of Directors established these committees to enhance and maximize industry input toward fulfilling VISIT FLORIDA’s commitment to being “industry-led.” Committee members are volunteers dedicated to putting the industry above their own interests as they interact with VISIT FLORIDA’s staff. Typically, the committees convene several times throughout the fiscal year. Often, committees meet via conference call or webinar. Depending on committee, face-to-face meetings may occur as part of VISIT FLORIDA’s annual Marketing Retreat and the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors meetings.
The Chair of the Industry Relations Committee will be Virginia Haley from Visit Sarasota and the Vice Chair is Kurt Allen from Marineland Dolphin Adventure.
