VILLA RICA, GEORGIA—March 2026—Located off Interstate 20, just 35 minutes west of Atlanta, Villa Rica is a place where events are more than dates on a calendar—they are vibrant gatherings where music, culture, food and community come together. Throughout the year, the city’s festivals and celebrations transform downtown into lively spaces where visitors can experience local flavors, browse artisan goods and connect with the welcoming spirit that defines this west Georgia destination. From lively concerts to cultural celebrations and seasonal traditions, Villa Rica’s events give visitors the perfect opportunity to experience the city the way locals do—through great music, delicious food and the simple joy of coming together.
One of the highlights of the spring season is the Art & Soul Festival, a celebration of creativity that fills downtown with artists, makers and live performers. Visitors can explore booths filled with handcrafted items while enjoying music and a variety of food vendors, creating a festive atmosphere that invites guests to linger and explore. Art & Soul Festival takes place 2-8 p.m., April 25, 2026.
Music remains at the heart of Villa Rica’s event lineup, especially during the city’s Summer Concert Series at The MILL Amphitheater. These free concerts bring the community together for evenings of live entertainment spanning genres from rock and pop to funk and soul. Guests often arrive early to grab dinner at a nearby restaurant or enjoy drinks with friends before settling in for a night under the stars. The Summer Concert Series runs June through August.
Another signature event is the Thomas A. Dorsey Festival, which honors the Villa Rica native known as the “Father of Gospel Music.” The festival celebrates his legacy with performances that blend gospel, jazz and blues alongside local food vendors and community festivities.
As the seasons change, Villa Rica continues the celebration with events like the Hispanic Heritage Festival, featuring music, dance, food and family-friendly activities that highlight the rich cultural traditions of the community. In the fall, the beloved Gold Rush Festival brings thousands to downtown for a day filled with a parade, a 5K race, artisan vendors and an evening concert that keeps the energy going well into the night.
These gatherings are an ideal opportunity to explore Villa Rica beyond the event itself. Downtown shops offer unique finds from local boutiques and specialty stores, while nearby restaurants serve everything from Southern comfort dishes to casual bites perfect for sharing with friends. Many visitors make a full day—or a weekend—of it, pairing festival fun with shopping, dining and discovering more of the city’s local charm.
