Lake Lanier Olympic Park is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Atlanta Games by hosting The Pan American Championships May 19-22. The Pan American Championships is a four-day tournament hosting top athletes from North, South and Central America, all vying for a spot in the 2016 Games in Rio. This is the final Continental Qualifier for sprint canoe and kayak.
Lake Lanier Olympic Park is looking to the community for help in hosting the most prestigious event to hit its waters since the 1996 Games. They need hundreds of volunteers to put on this historic event.
Volunteer positions include everything from picking up athletes at the airport, concessions, security, parking, safety boat drivers, camera operators and more. To view positions and to sign up, go to the volunteer website at: https://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/7093857980121
