A visit to Arzeh Grill (224 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock, Georgia 30188; 470-298-6300) and Sahara Grill (12910 GA-92 #105, Woodstock, Georgia 30188; 470-787-2200) reveals true Lebanese dishes such as grilled kababs, shawarma and creamy hummus. Woodstock Thai Eatery (2360 Towne Lake Parkway #110, Woodstock, Georgia 30189; 770-485-6008) is the first Thai restaurant in Cherokee County to be recognized by the Thai government with an honored “Thai Select Certificate” for excellence in food quality, service and meal presentation.
Chef-driven specialties
Led by Chef William Sigley, Prime 120 (120 Chambers Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188; 770-800-8049) is located in the heart of downtown Woodstock, offers diners a premier steakhouse experience complete with crafted cocktails, elegant dining and a spacious patio featuring a 20-foot stone fireplace. When asked what his greatest accomplishment is thus far at Prime 120, Chef William spoke of the folks that make Prime 120 what it is day in and day out. With a team comprised of many young locals, many of whom have little to no work experience, Sigley and his team pour into their employees, giving them hands-on opportunities to learn and grow. Warmth, excitement and loyalty exudes throughout Prime 120 making it a truly magical place.
One of Chef William’s newer restaurants, Roberto’s Deluxe (8212 Main Street, Suite 1102, Woodstock, Georgia 30188; 770-395-9592), in downtown Woodstock, is equally as special and features the freshest of seafood, including oysters and shellfish from around the globe in a front and center raw bar. The inspiration here, the chef says, was to create a love letter to his first and longest employee, Roberto Olmeda. Roberto was an expert oyster shucker, dishwasher and all-around great person who was beloved by everyone.
For fine dining with history, check out Century House (125 East Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188; 770-693-4552). Serving up some of the best steaks in the country along with the freshest fish available, chefs Michael Wutz and Joshua Coker have created a menu that celebrates the flavors of the meats that are finished off in the restaurant’s Mugnaini wood ovens. Housed in the landmark Hubbard House, originally built in 1894, this local favorite offers fine casual cuisine in an atmosphere that pays homage to the historical roots of the beautiful property.
